Food was great... Hot & with a good taste. It didn't taste like it was out of a can. It actually had personality and good flavor.
I didn't give it 5 stars because it took quite a long time to get our food and the restaurant was absolutely not busy and our waitress was attentive, yet inattentive when I needed something... Hope that makes sense. Waitress was very nice and friendly.
Definitely worth a visit. We visited after it snowed and it was 11° outside. Hot gravy and hot meat hit the spot.
I would definitely go back and give it another try. The burger was a bit dry and tasteless, but that might just be a fluke that day. Our waitress was great! The decorations were nice throughout the restaurant dining area.
Ordered, then took 45 minutes. Table ran out of drinks , waitress who appeared to be of importance, maybe a manager didn't bother to check on us till she had to give the check.
She, the waitress, had a lovely time chatting with regulars behind the counter and lovely folks sitting at a table, possibly family.

Fried chicken was cold, not warm but cold. The okra felt like it came straight out of the fridge. Mashed potatoes were warm-ish.
When we complained, the waitress was only worried if we were going to pay. No apologies or offers to make it right.
We paid and left disgusted with the entire experience .
We were in the area and found this hidden gem. Great little spot with good food. We tried the fried green beans, cheeseburgers, my son had pancakes and loved them. Highly recommend
The Harvest House has went down hill very fast in the past year. We have eaten there for years. Lately the food is way overpriced if they even get your order right. One order was supposed to have a baked potato, it had instant mashed potatoes. The salads had no cheese or tomato, they said they were out. The phone is off the hook all the time.
On a better note make the drive to (Twin Oaks) Spend your money at The Green Gate Grill. You will not be disappointed. They have Very good customer service and good home style cooking.
Pretty good food, clean dining and friendly staff. I’ve had a few of their burgers and they are really good. Today I had the chicken fried steak sandwich with onion rings and I enjoyed every bite.
